Welcome to the website of Hale Light Orchestra. We are a group of amateur orchestral musicians, based in the village of Hale, which is situated to the south of Altrincham, on the Manchester/Cheshire border. |

The orchestra specializes in performing works from the light music repertoire, and particularly those from the 1930s –1950s era. We rehearse on a weekly basis, during school term-time, and give 4-5 public concerts each year. Our favorite works are exemplified by the music of Eric Coates, Frederic Curzon, Robert Farnon, Haydn Wood, Ernest Tomlinson, Trevor Duncan, and Leroy Anderson. |
